Optional, always

Photo & Video Release

This one is optional. Say no and nothing about your player's training changes — not the lessons, not the portal, not the film reviews. Say yes and you can change your mind at any time, from your own portal, without asking me.

Two different kinds of video

Almost all the video here is coaching video. I film deliveries to review mechanics, and those clips live in your family's private portal. Only you and I can see them. That video is part of the lessons and is covered by the Privacy Notice, not by this release.

This release is about the other kind: the occasional clip or photo I would like to use publicly — on the website, on Facebook or Instagram, or in something that explains how we train.

What I agree to if you say yes

If you give permission, I hold myself to these rules:

  • First name only. Never a last name, never a school, never a team name, never a jersey number in the caption.
  • No location beyond the county, and never a schedule that would tell someone where to find your player at a given time.
  • Nothing that makes your player look foolish, and nothing from a session where they were struggling or upset.
  • No selling or licensing your player's image to anyone else, ever.
  • No paid advertising built around your player's face without asking you again, separately.

Turning it off

There is a switch in your parent portal. Flip it and permission ends that moment — no email, no phone call, no explanation owed to me.

When you turn it off, clips already posted come down. Realistically that takes me a few days on platforms I control, and I cannot claw back something another person already downloaded or reshared. That is the honest limit of what any release can promise, and it is worth knowing before you say yes.

What you are agreeing to

The exact wording recorded against your family's account, and the wording you check the box on, is this:

“I give Major League Pitching Academy permission to use video and photos of my player in public posts, videos and marketing. Clips are labeled with first name only — never last name, school or team. I understand I can turn this off at any time in the parent portal, and that clips already posted will be taken down.”

Your portal shows the date you agreed and the version of this wording you agreed to. If I ever change it, you will be asked again rather than quietly moved onto the new one.

Players under 18

Only a parent or legal guardian can give this permission, and only a parent or guardian can turn it back on once it has been switched off. A player signed in to their own portal can see the status and switch it off, but cannot switch it on.
